This is a lot like the Eucris one, but I’ll go through in full to save making anybody read two separate posts.
I will sometimes make up a hot towel (I do this by putting a towel in a slow-cooker/crock-pot for five to ten mins). No photos here as I didn’t do one when taking the pix. If anybody is interested enough I can do a post on this if you like.
Being a Scotsman, I’m too tight to run the water boiler and get hot water from the tap, so I boil the kettle and use that.
I start off with the Proraso pre-shave.

I was going to use my Gillette King C safety razor but decided to go with the shavette instead today, totally on a whim.

I loaded it with a Dorco safety blade. It’s the first time I ever used one but they were part of a multi-pack trial box I got a while back. Seems OK, but a little on the mild side for my taste.

Goodfellas Smile Inferno shaving soap.

Which I use a scoop to transfer a tiny amount to my shaving scuttle rather than just add water and lather where it is like some do, as that degrades the soap quickly and if you use a few it won’t keep as you swap them around in rotation.

I mainly bowl lather but do finish up with a bit of face lather too to get into any growth and soften it up.

I normally shave once with the grain, once across, and then once more against the grain, but will miss the middle pass if I’m pushed for time. I then use my fingers to feel for any problem areas I need to do a little extra work on and focus just on those bits rather than my whole face.
Once I’m happy, I’ll wet the alum block and rub that over the shaved areas.

It’s probably overkill to use both, but after the alum block, I splash on some Witch Hazel.

Then use some Citrus Kiss post-shave balm from Executive Shaving (which I highly recommend).

If there are any nicks, I’ll use a styptic match to stop the bleeding in its tracks.

As was mentioned in the previous post, my dental routine which follows the shave is Georganics toothpaste, as I really dislike foaming toothpaste. I’m on the tea tree one here, which is the one I like the least from them, but it was the cheapest and being Scottish… LOL

I follow that with Euthymol Icy Mint mouthwash.

Then some Bull Dog moisturiser in a losing battle to try and reduce the wrinkles around my eyes.

Some scent-free deodorant stick underarm, then finish off with a spray or two of whatever scent I have picked for the day.
I normally like to leave the scent until ten minutes or so after the shave, but if I’m against the clock, I’ll use it right away.
That doesn’t give me as unified of a scent profile as with the Eucris routine but there is nothing to interfere with the scent of the day.
This gives me a really good and very close shave.
The whole thing from start to finish usually takes fifteen to twenty minutes, which may seem a long time to shave, but it’s a ritual I really enjoy rather than a chore I need to get through, so it’s time well spent.
